I have seen charcoal drop infront of ascalon. I think it was rare enough to be noticed. The value right now in trader is 190 gold, which I am pretty sure you can check by urself. And If anyone sells it, should be in a range 100-150gold max.

u can farm them in Krytan area, some monsters there drop 2-6 Lumps per 1 drop

I found some salvaging burning hearts or whatever they are called from fire imps outside lions arch.

those imps also drop them, around 2-3 pieces in a single drop
